Wednesday, half way there

This is Tonka, my son's cat that has been with me for the last couple of years. He is such a lover and so funny, he gets into the strangest positions and gives you such looks. Another friend who helps me cope, a good guy.

We have been having such wonderful weather. There was a small interruption for a rain storm, I am not complaining about the rain, so needed. I was not real happy about the high wind, it even knocked over one of my big clay pots with the cherry tomatoes in it. The temps have been in the 70's cooling off at night, blue skies, the kind of weather you just wish would last all year round.

http://ediemariesattic.blogspot.com/ check out our Miss Edie Marie, she is celebrating her 100Th post with a giveaway. Very nice person, funny, creative and just the type of person you wish lived next door.

My new part time job is going along OK, not great. So much to learn and remember and everyone giving you slightly different information. I can feel the rust flaking off the brain cells as I require them to function at a higher level. There are gas pumps to keep an eye on, registers with all kinds of functions to cope with and food to be put out. Being an octopus would be great. I just keep reminding myself that it is not forever and that I have goals, grit my teeth and keep plugging. Be glad I am able to work and learn new things and that someone actually hired me. Once I have the garage turned into my bakery I can say bye, bye.

My friend from Minnesota is leaving for France tomorrow, I wonder if I will ever get to travel and if I really want to. I so hope she has a wonderful time, she is such a nice, nice person and I am so blessed to have her for a friend. Be safe Carol and come home soon.

Best to you all, Barbara

Hi Barbara!
Thanks so much for entering my giveaway and for the ad about it! Your names been added a couple times sweetie!! I'm in shock I have so many comments, I NEVER thought that would happen.
Congrats on your sticking it out on your new job. I've had my part-time job for almost a year now. The first few months were really challenging for my brain cells, the register was sooo computerized, yikes! Oh well, I've made it and so can you, I have faith!!!
Hugs, sherry

Cats add so much personality to a home. I love the look on Tonka's face. Hang in there with your new job. It sounds like you've got it under control. And how nice to have your very own bakery to aspire to!

We're having beautiful fall weather, but already I'm hearing comments of "wait for the first snow fall." Stop! Let's just enjoy this gorgeous time of year. A little rain wouldn't hurt, though, I suppose:)

Enjoy your day, Barbara.

I LOVE Tonka!!! He is sitting there like a little man!!! Just too cute!!! I am a cat lover! I love dogs, too, but I find cats are easier for me to care for than having to walk a dog on a leash. Plus, before I worked outside the home and wasn't home to walk a dog. Grew up with both, though, along with many other critters! LOL

Congrats on your new job!!! You can do it, we all know you can! I do hope you get your bakery up and running very soon! Wish I lived closer as I used to make professional cakes years ago and loved it!!!

I am back to blogging once again! My son took his 2 cats home Sunday night. They made the trip to FL okay. I will worry about them now, though. They required alot of care and meds all the time, plus I had to hand feed them several days, as well. Then they got to eating more and more on their own and were in good shape when they went home. I miss them, now, though!

I'll be back later to catch up some more....I have been up all night working and time for me to get a few hours of sleep. This is the second all-niter I've pulled this week! I am whipped right now.

(((((( HUGS ))))))

Tonka's cute - aren't cats great? They add a smile to our days all the time. I like how you wondered about traveling. As exciting as it seems, I often wonder if I really want to as well! Guess I'm just a homebody!

Hi Barbara,

Tonka is so cute! Animals are such a blessing...well, most of the time. LOL.

I'm glad your weather has been so nice. Ours has as well. But the mornings are turning a little chilly already.

Your new job sounds interesting. I'm sure it keeps you on your toes though. Good luck with it.

Happy October! Can't believe it's here already. Where does the time go?

Take care and be well.

Hugs,

Renie
